Inspired by a study on nicknames by the writer, poet and playwright Gianpaolo Bazzoni, the author pays homage to the amusing nicknames given to many inhabitants of Bazzoni's hometown, Porto Torres in Sardinia. 600 true nicknames are assigned to and printed alongside 100 drawings by Gavino Sanna, a publicist and art critic also from Porto Torres
